WOMEN'S Viper X2 Short Sleeve Swimskin

Meet the reimagined, better-than-ever Viper X2 Short Sleeve Swimskin, and wave goodbye to drag.

We weren’t satisfied with just creating the fastest, most popular swimskin on the planet, so we went back to the drawing board and upped our game. The result is the Viper X2, a swimskin that keeps everything you loved about the original—our patented ARMS UP™ technology, patented IXI taping, silicone leg grippers—and adds a new compression zone in the lower back that provides improved core support, promotes better posture and reduces drag by eliminating bubbling of the fabric in the small of your back.

The Viper X2 Short Sleeve is USAT and IRONMAN legal, and it fully covers your short sleeve tri suit on the swim to reduce friction and drag in the water. The suit is built with a premium Italian stretch-woven fabric and includes a hydrophobic Teflon coating, high-tech bonded seam construction with hidden-stitch reinforcement, as well as a low profile auto-locking YKK zipper.

FIT TIPS

  • Swimskins should fit snugly but comfortably without inhibiting your breathing or arm movement. Fit may feel different while swimming vs. on land, so make sure to try the suit in the water. They are meant to have a tight, compression fit, like a competition pool swimming suit.
  • Note that swimskins are meant to be worn on top of a race top/bottom or race suit only for the swim portion of the race. They are very specific, high performance garments not meant to be worn alone like traditional swimwear and the suits can be see-through under certain light or when wet. Undergarments such as a tri kit or swimsuit are strongly advised.
  • Your race kit will affect the fit slightly, so please be sure to try them on and swim in them with your race kit or another suit underneath.

      "When they say size up, they mean it. Sizing does not run the same as their wetsuits. The breakaway zipper feature is neat! I was wondering who was going to unzip me, but none needed. Sleeves and legs both ran a bit long on me, otherwise fits really well and comfy in the water."

      "Super soft material but be warned that it runs a bit small. If you are between sizes, definitely go up. Also, there is no pull string on the zipper so you will need to add one or you won't be able to upzip it"

      This swimskin felt tight during

      "This swimskin felt tight during the first try but when I tested it out in the pool it felt alright. Wearing it dry and swimming with it wet feels different. It fit me just fine but I returned it because I preferred the sleeveless version, as I got some abrasion under one armpit during a long 2 hour swim. Admittedly I'd forgotten to put vaseline so that could be a non-issue with vaseline."

      sleeves make all the difference

      "had a chance in Kona to demo the Viper sleeved swimskin. this was my first time trying the Viper with sleeves (previously was swimming in the sleeveless viper). WOW. it took a few mins to get used to the feel of the sleeves, but after that I loved knowing that the sleeves were reducing drag. And, similar to ROKA wetsuits, the Viper swimskin has the "arms up" design so there was absolutely ZERO restriction in my shoulder range of motion. wasn't planning on getting a new swimskin but it was so great I ended up taking it home. Runs about 1 size small (I'm a solid medium in ROKA wetsuits and 2017-era swimskin but the large was nicely compressive without being constricting OR loose)."
