MEN'S VIPER PRO SWIMSKIN

The Viper Pro is the tip of the sword in the triathlon swimskin (aka "speed suit") market. In designing the Viper Pro, we relished the challenge of creating a swimskin that lives up to the ROKA standard set by the Maverick Pro wetsuit. We took the same uncompromising, ground-up design approach based on years of competitive swimming and triathlon experience, and we strategically incorporated all the latest advances in performance swimwear materials and construction.

The Viper Pro swimskin is USAT and WTC legal and uses two varieties of the same premium stretch-woven textile from Italy, a hydrophobic Teflon® coating, high-tech bonded seam construction with novel hidden stitch reinforcement, a low profile autolocking YKK zipper and a pattern orientation and layout strategically designed to liberate your arms while providing support where you need it.  We use flat seams at the leg opening to avoid "sausage legs" created by elastic bands with silicone grippers. All of these little details add up to free speed on race day.  The Viper Pro comes with atomic yellow graphics.

FIT TIPS

  • Swimskins should fit snugly but comfortably without inhibiting your breathing or arm movement. Fit may feel different while swimming vs. on land, so make sure to try the suit in the water. They are meant to have a tight, compression fit, like a competition pool swimming suit.
  • Note that swimskins are meant to be worn on top of a race top/bottom or race suit only for the swim portion of the race. They are very specific, high performance garments not meant to be worn alone like traditional swimwear and the suits can be see-through under certain light or when wet. Undergarments such as a tri kit or swimsuit are strongly advised.
  • Your race kit will affect the fit slightly, so please be sure to try them on and swim in them with your race kit or another suit underneath.

Whether you're racing in open water, it provides a noticeable performance edge by reducing drag and improving body position in the water. What really sets it apart is how it adds a layer of thermal protection. While it’s not a full wetsuit, it does help retain body heat, which can make a big difference when you're swimming in cool conditions especially in 72°F-ish water where you don’t want to overheat, but still appreciate a little extra warmth. It fits snugly without restricting movement and feels light in the water, allowing for a natural stroke and comfortable range of motion. The quality of the materials and the way it’s designed really shows. If you’re serious about open water swimming, triathlons, or just want a bit more comfort and want some speed in your race, I highly recommend giving this swimskin a try. Learning swimskins

"This Roka swim skin ,seems good I feel a little bouncy. Wearing in week 2 at pool. As well it gives of protection like skin and gills of a fish. Not so good with rear zipper. Struggling a bit. So all in all A- for putting on A+ for comfort and wear ,competition."

"Espectacular. El calce es perfecto. La sensación de llevarlo puesto es indescriptible. Super suave, el fitting es realmente comp una segunda piel. Ni una sola arruga en ningun lado. El look es muy muy pro. La única critica es que los logos e inscripciones se salen con facilidad cuando uno lleva el traje de neopren arriba y al colocarlo y sacarlo la fricción contra las inscripciónes de goma se comienzan a salir muy rapido. Lo recomiendo ampliamente"

I’m very disappointed there is

"I’m very disappointed there is no lanyard to pull the zipper up. I swim alone often with no one to zip it for me. I contemplated returning it but the price I bought it for was too good. I’ll be bringing it to a tailor to add a lanyard of some kind. I also don’t like the type of grip material on the legs. My previous ROKA swim skin did not have that and had a string to pull zipper up and down."
